CPS becomes member of Composites UK
Chemical Processing Services Ltd has joined Composites UK – the trade body for the UK composites industry.
CPS look to develop innovative products to allow continuity of supply and address consumer needs without causing or creating damage to health, our environment, or the economy. This requires a holistic approach, and our research team work to develop polymers with a variety of considerations that include being derived from renewable feedstocks, utilisation of catalysts to minimise energy consumption, improve atom economy and maximise yield factors. We look at recycling and the reduction of waste and other process improvements that help reduce the impact on the environment.
The products themselves are generated to protect and extend the lifespan of materials, or to allow operation in harsh environments. Whilst the general drive is for longevity, we consider processes that encompass a means for re-use, recycling and when absolutely necessary the ease of disposal.
